Esthetics Program at Coba Academy
Prepare for an exciting career as a licensed esthetician. The program is 600 clock hours
in length, which can be completed in as little as five months of full-time attendance. At the
beginning, approximately 180 hours of the program is devoted to technical instruction,
which consists of various learning activities in a classroom and student spa room. Students learn the fundamentals of Facials, Skin Care Treatments, Waxing, Make-up application, Skin Care Ingredients, and Infection Control practices.
Once the basics of the freshman curriculum are complete, students advance to senior status and can start working with clients. The balance of the program is devoted to advanced practical operations, in which students develop and practice esthetic skills under the supervision of licensed instructors.
After completing the esthetics program at Coba Academy, you’ll be qualified and equipped
with the skills to pass the California State Board licensing examination and become a licensed professional.
At Coba Academy our esthetics instructors continually strive to train and prepare students for a career in the beauty industry. Introducing the latest techniques and equipment for facials, waxing, and makeup into the curriculum enhances our students’ training and provides a competitive edge when seeking employment.
Esthetics Schedules
600 Clock – Hour Program
Morning Session:
5 Months / 30 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday 9:00 am to 3:30 pm
Evening Session:
6 Months / 25 Hours per Week – Monday to Friday 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm
Requirements for Admissions:
- At least 17 years of age
- High School Diploma or GED
- Government Photo ID or Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card

Tuition is based on $18.50 per hour
- Application Fee $125 (Non-Refundable)
- STRF* Fee $0 (Non-Refundable)
- Kit, Supplies, Books $2,017 (Non-Refundable)
- Tuition $11,100.00
Total Investment: $13,242
*Student Tuition Recovery Fund (STRF) payment to the state of California. As of April 1, 2024 assessment is $0 per $1,000 of institutional charges.
