COSMETOLOGY
Getting a cosmetology license is the first step to entering a career in the beauty industry. The course is 1600 hours in length, which can be completed in as little as ten months of full time attendance.
ESTHETICS
Become a licensed esthetician and learn skincare techniques. The course is 600 clock hours in length which can be completed in 5 months with perfect attendance. Once the student completes the basics and has learned the fundamentals of skin care they are ready to work on clients.
BARBERING
Start your career to become a licensed Barber. With Coba Academy’s emphasis on hands on mastery of barbering skills you’ll gain the confidence to excel as a barber. The course is 1500 hours in length, which can be completed in 10 months of full time attendance.

My name is David Jackson and I attended the Barber Program at Coba Academy. This school taught me so much from hair cutting to styling and hair coloring. I have been cutting hair since the age of 14, but never took it seriously until I was at a crossroads in my life. My goal was to find something that I loved to do and make a career of it. People told me that becoming a barber is not a “real job” but I knew I could make a career of it and prove them wrong, so I signed up. Making that decision really changed my life for the better. While attending Coba Academy, the instructors helped me thrive in my craft with all the material they used to teach from demos to theory and tricks to use and take with me into this industry. The staff at Coba Academy which includes Mr. Alan, Ms. Aimee, and Ms. Lisa, made my experience from the first day to my last all that I expected from when I signed up. Coba Academy definitely prepared me for this industry and allowed me the opportunity to live my dream of being a barber.

Coming to Coba Academy was one of the best decisions I have made in my life. I choose Coba Academy over the other beauty schools because of the smaller group of students, for me I love that. You get more one on one time with the teachers and everyone knows everyone. You’re signing up not just for the education in the beauty industry but into a tight knit family. Everyone there truly takes the time to teach you everything from the Receptionist, Instructor, Admissions Advisor, Financial Aid Officer to the Director of Education to further your career as a Cosmetologist.

Coming to Coba Academy to do the Esthetics Program was the best experience! Not only did I have an AMAZING teacher (Ms. Francine) but I also became friends with so many students! You get one on one training on facial machines, facial techniques, waxing, makeup…
Another thing I’m really grateful for is that we practiced and went over state board a lot! And it totally helped me pass my state board exam! If you’re looking to become an Esthetician COBA is the place to go! (The whole staff is there to help you and are willing to go the extra mile to do so!)
