Summary
Operates multiline telephone system to answer incoming calls and directs callers to appropriate personnel by performing the following duties
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Count the beginning and ending cash banks for the cash register and have the School Operations Manager verify the dollar amounts.
- Greet all visitors to the school; this includes prospective students, clients for client services.
- Utilize POS system to enter client services and ring up tickets in the POS system being sure to collect all monies owed for services and product.
- Enter into the POS system any tuition payments received from student(s) (make sure to add payment to RGM).
- Maintain the appointment book and assign students to patrons on a rotation basis with the assistance of the floor instructors as needed.
- Promptly answer the telephone in a professional manner (no more than three rings) and direct calls to the appropriate staff person. Do not leave caller on “hold”.
- Maintain adequate supplies needed for the operation of the front desk.
- Maintain the Professional Appearance of the front reception area by keeping it free of trash and organizing any magazines or reading materials present. Throw out torn or “trashy” items.
- Ensure that all safety regulations are being followed.
- Maintain control of all clinic tickets to ensure that every patron receives a receipt for client service.
- Monitor the towel supply, and wash and dry towels to ensure that the front desk is always supplies with towels for client services.
- Maintain control of the POS to ensure the unauthorized persons are not able to use it.
- Complete the “Close Salon” procedure on the POS system, ensuring that the cash in the drawer is in balance with the total amount stated on the Dashboard report. Secure all supporting documents to the POS Dashboard (paid out slips, copies of tuition receipts).
- Assist the school administration staff as needed.
- Perform any other miscellaneous duties as assigned by the School Operations Manager to satisfy, coordinate and carry out company policy procedures.

Education and/or Experience
One-year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problem involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Word, Excel, Power Point Software.
