Today's cosmetologist must possess a wide range of skills and knowledge to meet the needs of today's sophisticated beauty buying public. The COBA Academy program has been carefully designed to fulfill this requirement. COBA offers the specialized training to not only prepare you to obtain your State License, but also to step right into any number of today's hot beauty careers.
Milady, the number-one choice for cosmetology programs all across the country, developed the core of the COBA program. This modern, up-to-date curriculum offers you an open, step-by-step skill gaining process leading to the mastery you need to succeed.
Depending on the schedule selected, this 1600-hour course can be completed in as little as 40 weeks. Each day features demonstrations, lectures and, most importantly, “hands-on” experience working on hair, skin or nails. Under the guidance or our seasoned teaching staff, you receive individual attention and personalized instruction as you gain increasing confidence and expertise. Once you complete your basic freshman training, you graduate to the salon/clinic floor where you provide hair, skin or nail services to our many COBA clients, all under the licensed supervision of our staff.
Esthetician 600 Hours
Although the Academy is licensed and accredited to offer Esthetician Training we do not do so at this time. Please check back periodically to see when it becomes available.

Throughout the country, there is an enormous unmet demand for well-trained Cosmetology Instructors. The 600-hour COBA Academy program combines teaching theory with practical lesson plan development and presentation. Throughout your course, you will also be on the clinic floor working individually with students. Upon completion, the graduate is eligible to sit for the Sate Licensing Exam. Teacher Training is available only to licensed cosmetologists. This course is currently not being offered.

At COBA Academy, our primary mission is to deliver the skills and knowledge necessary to pass the State Board Cosmetology Examination. With a 94% pass rate, the highest pass rate of any beauty college in southern California, we are extremely proud of our success in this endeavor. But there is more to COBA than just the basics.
